Unitree's small robot dog is the cheapest mainstream quadruped you can order, with a 4D lidar and app control on every model. The Air and Pro are consumer tricks-and-follow machines; real programming needs the far pricier EDU. Its firmware has a long run of published security flaws, so treat it as a networked device first and a pet second.

Driven by app or remote; has on-board follow mode, obstacle avoidance and voice commands, but no general household task autonomy. Pro and above add 4G remote control.

Authorized
FCC ID 2A5PE-YUSHU004 (Go2 user manual on file; remote 2A5PE-YUSHU005). Authorized before the 2026-07-28 Covered List update, so it stays legal to import and sell; Unitree confirmed authorization in its July 2026 prospectus. Exact grant date not verified in the FCC database.
Known security issues
UniPwn (Sept 2025): hard-coded BLE keys (CVE-2025-60250) plus Wi-Fi setup command injection (CVE-2025-35027) give root over Bluetooth and can spread robot to robot; affects Go2, G1, H1, B2. CVE-2026-27509 (Feb 2026, CVSS 8.5): unauthenticated DDS topic lets a nearby attacker run code as root on Go2 firmware 1.1.7-1.1.11. The older Go1 shipped with an undocumented CloudSail remote-access tunnel (CVE-2025-2894).
